Dear Dr. Gabriele,
Lorna called me this morning and asked that I forward to you the global e-mail that Diane Clark and Laurel Torres of the Volunteer Department sent to the Hospital regarding Aunt Mary’s death. It is still difficult for me to realize that Aunt Mary is no longer with us - she was so much a part of New York Presbyterian. I certainly enjoyed having lunch with her over the years and felt that she was also my “Aunt Mary” I do miss her and I send you my deepest sympathy.
Fondly,
Ruth Davis

It is with great and tremendous sadness that the Volunteer Department announces the passing of Mary D’Alois. Mary worked for the Westchester Division for 15 years as an Administrative Secretary and upon retiring in 1992, became a volunteer and worked in our office for the past 15 years on a weekly basis.
In her memory, the Volunteer Department will be accepting donations from Mary’s friends at the hospital in order to place a star in the chapel. For those who knew Mary, she was truly a lady of class and elegance. She will be greatly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
Diane Clark
Laurel Torres
