Quo Vadis (?)

Where is your brain taking you?
Please click on the Archive labeled February 2008 and scroll to "Our Next President" my February 6th post. I want to demonstrate that what we consider "breaking news" today, was already clearly discerned by a political naif like me, almost 3 months ago. How can that happen?
I believe that the political opinions most of us hold are indistinguishable from those propagated by the news sources we individually rely upon. And because we tend to remain hostage to those sources, we don't often change the substance or direction of our thinking. Unfortunately, we rarely ask ourselves why and how we came to be on the political courses we so assiduously follow.
To balance our points of view it would be helpful to expand and diversify our sources. We need to draw honestly and extensively from the right, the left, the centers and even the extremes, because the fewer our sources, the greater our propensity for bias. But by challenging ourselves and refreshing our cerebration, we can strengthen our perspicacity and attain greater legitimacy of our views.
In the name of civility, don't we owe our family, our friends and even ourselves, at least an occasional epiphany?
Barack Obama has abandoned his more than two-year shunning of "FOX News Sunday," He recently accepted an invitation to appear on FOX's national morning talk show (April 27) where he will be interviewed by Chris Wallace ~ FOX News
Dom ~ I am so glad to see that you are back in the saddle with your wit and compassion regarding the world's problems. I love the way that you focus in and simplify how we should look at a situation. I hope that you and Lenore are enjoying good health and good times as we are doing, here in Florida ~ Stan Zeller
